Migration research

My field of research mainly covers the empirical study of the emigration and return migration of the Hungarian population. The main research questions examined are the extent, characteristics, causes and consequences of emigration and return migration.

Stress, burnout, depression during training and in the workplace in healthcare

My field of research is the study of the factors influencing mental health and coping strategies in health education (especially in medical education) in health care and in other helping prodfessions.

Examining rare or elusive population

My field of research is the examination of small (rare) and hidden social groups, in general the examination of all groups for which it is methodologically difficult to define the social group, to collect reliable and valid data.

Eating disorders

Eating disorders among specific social groups, causes, identification and measurement of eating disorders. Differenciation of pathological and physiological eating disorders. Effects of some eating disorders.

Participatory democracy research

Possibilities and obstacles of participatory democracy in Hungary and Central-Eastern Europe.
