Applications are open for the European Master's Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (EMA).
The international postgraduate course is organized by the Global Campus of Human Rights with the support of the European Union. The program lasts one year, from September to September. It is carried out with the participation of 42 partner universities, including Eötvös Loránd University. Students spend the first semester in Venice, at the program's headquarters, and the second semester at one of the partner universities – for example, at the Faculty of Social Sciences at ELTE. The curriculum is policy-oriented and approaches the topic of human rights and democracy by combining the perspectives of law, political science, history, anthropology, and philosophy. Applicants must have at least a bachelor's degree and at least a B2 level English language exam. French language skills are an advantage. The program requires a tuition fee, and students cover their living expenses during the course.
Application deadline: February 1, 2026.
