The Doctoral School of Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University is inviting applications for small grants to support material research costs.

Fundable items

Applications may be submitted for a minimum of HUF 50,000 and a maximum of HUF 75,000 to cover material expenses incurred during research work. These may include domestic travel expenses, material costs, the purchase of specialist literature, etc. In the case of access to databases and software, it must be verified that these are not available in any other way at the university. 

Who can apply

Doctoral students with an active student status may apply if they are not participating in any other grant project for which they receive support for material expenses.

Application process

To apply, fill out the attached application form, indicating the specific items and describing how they contribute to the research.
The support of the supervisor is required for the application. 
Applications must be sent to doktori@tatk.elte.hu, signed and scanned in pdf format.

The deadline for submitting applications is 31 October, 2025.

Evaluation of applications

Applications will be accepted up to the limit of the application budget, and the TTDT will decide on their funding based on the recommendations of the program managers.

Settlement of the awarded amount

The amounts applied for must be used by July 4, 2026 and the implementation must be verified with an invoice sent to the doctoral school by September 30, 2026. Unused (or uninvoiced) amounts must be refunded to the Doctoral School.
