Dear Colleagues and Students,
December on campus is always a mix of juggling Neptun deadlines and revising exam topics—alongside Christmas sweater contests and mugs of mulled wine (or tea). By day, we’re immersed in exam preparation; by night, we ease into the festive spirit, looking forward to the year’s end and the chance to rest with family and friends.
As we approach the holiday season—a time for quiet reflection—I want to express my heartfelt thanks to our entire faculty community for your dedication, perseverance, and care throughout the year.
There is much to be proud of in 2025. Our faculty’s international publication output is stronger than ever; new research projects have received funding, and ongoing ones have delivered valuable scientific and professional results. Our program offerings have expanded again. The progress of our educational support teams is equally noteworthy—their commitment plays a vital role in moving the faculty forward. This year, we have also become more open and collaborative with organizations beyond the university.
Interest in our faculty continues to grow at home and abroad. Today, we engage with a student community of over 2,700, and that momentum is helping to strengthen student organizations and sustain a vibrant campus life.
Yet numbers would mean little without the strength of our community: the time faculty take to listen and engage with student perspectives, the indispensable work of our support staff behind the scenes, the collaboration between students and lecturers, and the conversations and questions we shape together. This is what truly makes TáTK special—and what motivates me personally.
Wishing you peaceful holidays, well‑deserved rest, a successful exam period, and a happy and prosperous New Year.
Warm regards,
Dean Csaba Prónai
