My research focuses on the sustainability aspects of waste generation and waste management. Its aim is the integrated examination of environmental, economic, behavioral, technological, and social dimensions, with particular emphasis on the circular economy, resource efficiency, and climate-related challenges.

This research field focuses on the interrelations of political economy and economic reforms mostly in the post-Soviet region, with particular emphasis on institutional change, the role of democratic institutions, the impact of populist leadership, and the challenges of European integration.
