Intermarriages and ethnic identity

My research is centered around the intricate interplay of gender, ethnicity, education, and family dynamics. I place a strong emphasis on the application of qualitative research methods to delve deep into these complex areas of study. In my most recent project, I have directed my attention toward the phenomenon of intermarriages. I consider intermarriages to be of paramount significance because they offer a unique lens through which we can comprehend the multifaceted dimensions of societal transformations occurring within modern nation-states in Central-Eastern Europe. The focus on intermarriages allows me to map out the ways in which they influence and reshape various aspects of society, family structures, and individual lives. Intermarriages can give rise to intricate intersections that impact ethnic identities, cultural heritages, and educational experiences. Furthermore, they offer valuable insights into how interethnic unions integrate within the social and legal frameworks of modern nation-states, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities they present to the couples and families involved.
