The focus of my research is community development, including participation, community activity realized through the activities of civil organizations and cultural institutions (especially public community cultural institutions, museums and libraries), the examination of voluntary communal actions, their methodology and development.

The focus of my research on community services and community responses is that small communities have a decisive role in creating sustainability and local solutions to global social problems.

My research covers the historical and current investigations of public cultural endeavors, social movements, the social and cultural economy, and civil society.

The focus of my research can always be linked to the fields of lifelong learning, including adult education and vocational training, as well as the fields of public education, museology, and well-being.
