In this area, I examine how civil society organisations are responding to changes in political fault lines, growing polarisation and how this is affecting democratic institutions.

By social integration we mean the process of social ordering, the formation of large social groups. The main focus of my research in this field is how the political system and political processes contribute to the formation of stratification and groups along the main mechanisms of social integration.

This research area deals with the role of civil society organisations and social movements in political polarisation.
