Analysis of Social Policy Subsystems

The thesis aims to make it familiar with the theory and social-political areas of welfare redistribution.

The course is divided into two parts. Firstly,  the economic, public finance and social redistributive effects of redistribution.

Secondly, taxation principles and definitions are introduced, while the functions and social impacts of the tax system are also covered. In addition, a temporal and structural analysis of the Hungarian tax system, international tax trends and the main tax policies of OECD countries are also outlined.

Welfare services

The reasarch aims to present the system of welfare services providing personal care. In addition, this system’s main elements, regulatory and financing principles are also thoroughly examined. Furthermore, the course deals with the tension points of the domestic social service system and with the proposals made to solve them. Through the presentation and valuation of these proposals, the course also analyses the main structural features of domestic services, thus familiarises students with the legalities of the service system and the more critical factors influencing the provisions (such as service organisation, determination of eligibility, frameworks of professional activity; control system; financing, administration interfaces).
