Main research areas
The starting point is the approach and tools of statistical physics, which tries to capture the collective movements observed in nature by means of simulations based on simple rules. Some of these are already being applied to describe specific human behaviours (e.g., thunderclaps, some panic phenomena).This research seeks to see how the concept of habitus can be mediated from here to more reflexive colletive actions.
The current face of the Greek community in Hungary is largely due to the refugees who arrived in Hungary after the Greek Civil War (about 7.000) and their descendants. Undoubtedly a Civil War consist of a traumatic fact for the persons and social groups too which has strong influences for the formation of identities. In this perspective research will focus on the following aspects of the past and present situation of Greek political refugees in Hungary.
the main facts of their arrival and reception and placement of children arriving in Hungary. cases of the grand journey of the Greek children in the societies of Eastern Europe from the initial trauma to relief. Interrelations between community identity and the personal identity for the integration processes shaped the children who arrived here into a community in Hungarian society - at school, at home, at work and in the family's private life.
